Wasn’t that hard to see it coming: A huge disappointment and a failure to meet expectations. What was that huge announcement Nintendo was talking about some time ago? Was it Wii Sports Resort? I’m such a Nintendo fanboy, but I gotta say, that was such a let down.
I am NOT a casual gamer. I am happy for Nintendo that they are making tons of money because mom can now play a video game, BUT I don’t [radio edit] think mom was watching E3 today!! they HAD to give us hardcore Wii users something to keep us proud of the big N and for some reason they just decided it wasn’t a priority.
I don’t [radio edit] care what the DS can do for me at the airport. People already have cell phones and laptops.
Where was Kid Icarus!?!? Where were the unique franchises?? A still image of Mario and Link!?
The knocks on the Wii are:
1. casual gamers
2. mindless peripherals
and all Nintendo did at E3 this year was solidify that stigma.
I saw the guy slashing w/ the WiiMotionPlus, and it looked exactly the same as when I have a friend over and he isn’t used to the WiiMote. It did NOT appear that he was flawlessly executing the slash maneuvers he was going for.
WiiMusic?! I am a musician, I can play drums, guitar, bass and piano. And that performance of the Mario theme was, as we call it in the biz, a “train wreck.”
I like the idea of a non-competitive music game. And I love the idea of using the balance board to complete the drumset. But it’s all for naught if the music comes out like [radio edit].
…sigh… this is gonna be hard when I go back to my Tenchu forums and continue trying to convince those guys that Wii is a great platform for the hardcore gamer.

well i still love the wii n ds plus the big N either way i was a lil bit let down i still support nintendo all da way i grew up with nintendo n well i just like their unique way of gaming lk c mmon guys i bet theyll suprise us with something big!!! later on u know they prob dont want to get copied lk they have already started sony with the motion sensitive control n microsoft with their avatar wannabe miis
