Ubisoft Releases New Label: Party Zone!

20 06 2008

With some of the titles Ubisoft releases for Wii, one wonders if they are trying to surpass fruit cake as the number one worst gift of all time. Looks like Ubisoft’s reputation on Nintendo’s little white console will remain the same. The publishing company has announce Play Zone, its Touch Generations type label. The new label looks to be entirely focused on the best things in life, party games! On Party Zone, Ubisoft’s EMEA marketing director, John Parkes, says:

With our new Play Zone party titles, the Wii gamers who like to spend time with friends and family will have fun with the Wii through innovative and involving mini-games

This is where the once promised Nintendo-like quality will come into play, right? Maybe not, but Ubisoft is certainly taking a crack at copying the Big N’s ideas. The first in what will probably be many, many Play Zone titles to come is called Sports Party, which will find a home on store shelves Jully 11th. Don’t all go running out of the house at once!
